Community Outreach
Chip Scan is not just a cybersecurity company, but a trailblazer in innovation. We have chosen to base our headquarters in Rockaway Beach, a community that faced significant and ongoing challenges in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We encourage all of our employees to make a difference towards community empowerment and outreach.
Together, we can make a difference. By harnessing the power of technology and empowering our community, we can create a brighter future for generations to come. Join us in our mission to make the world a better place, one innovation at a time.

How Chip Scan performs community outreach to our community
Jobs and Internships are Community First
Chip Scan offers jobs and paid internships across the country but we value and invest in our local workforce. These positions include both technical and non-technical across all company functions.
Education and Training Opportunities
Cybersecurity skills are in demand around the world due to the increasing frequency and sophistication of attacks. In 2022 nearly 2 million positions went unfilled due to a shortage of workers. Chip Scan invests in community education and training opportunities in support of a qualified and diverse cybersecurity workforce.
Supporting critical infrastructure
Chip Scan offers cybersecurity solutions to critical infrastructure companies within our community. This includes the transportation, communications, energy and utilities that form the bedrock of Rockaway Beach.
Electronic Resources and Pro Bono
As Chip Scan expands its web presence, we also plan to provide opportunities to learn about Cybersecurity.
We also offer pro bono advisory services on Cybersecurity topics to local community leaders and government organizations.

Volunteer opportunities
Our employees are offered opportunities to volunteer their time and skills to help the community, such as hosting security clinic days where people bring their devices in for advice on better cyber hygiene.
